Meet Our Team

Coach Ronnie Grandison has been training and teaching kids basketball in the Cincinnati area for over 20 years. Ronnie is a former NBA player and has played with the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks.  He also played NCAA Division 1 Basketball for the University of New Orleans.  At New Orleans, Ronnie led the Privateers to their first Division 1 “Big Dance” tournament appearance and a NCAA Division 1 top 20 ranking.  Ronnie played professionally in the CBA where, in 1994, he was voted Most Valuable Player. He has played basketball all over the world: Spain, Venezuela, the Philippines, Israel, and Australia, and others. Ronnie has a passion for teaching basketball and the principles of life through the game. Ronnie and his lovely wife, Barb, have their own team of 5 children.

 

Torry is a native of Columbus, Ohio and brings a wealth of knowledge in the field of athletics. Torry received the rare opportunity to play both Division I Football and Basketball. In 2005, he started shooting guard for Prairie View A&M University and later transferred to the University of Cincinnati where he started linebacker in the 2009 Fed Ex Orange Bowl. Torry later played professional football in the German Football League for two seasons.

 

Torry’s athletics administration experience was developed as he spent 5 years working in Higher Education Administration at Mount St. Joseph University for 2 years and 3 years working in the Athletics Department at the University of Cincinnati as the Associate Director of Student Athlete Support Services. Torry also spent time as a high school basketball coach and Director of Athletics at DePaul Cristo Rey High School. In his free time Torry enjoys helping parents get their students recruited for college, the real estate industry, and spending time with his two children and lovely wife.

Jennifer is married to her wonderful husband and minister, Jason, and they have 4 boys. Jennifer has a background in Biblical Counseling and enjoys serving in her church community and schools. 

 

She has experience working with small businesses, non-profits, and churches doing multiple administrative and executive functioning skills/tasks and enjoys bringing new and exciting things to help a business grow and thrive.   

Barb is the co-founder of RGSA and the wife of Ronnie Grandison. She currently runs BG FIT Personal Training. Barb began her fitness career as an aerobics instructor. She taught aerobics at the world famous Mayo Clinic, was a professional cheerleader, and taught fitness at professional athletes conference. Barb was formerly the owner of Solid Sweat, Inc., the fitness director at Courts of Praise Christian Center, and the aerobics director at International Health Spa.

AFAA certified fitness, kickboxing, indoor spin, and weight room instructor, as well as a certified personal trainer. eCornell certified in plant based nutrition and NASM certified nutrition coach.

Pam is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Mount Notre Dame High School and the University of Cincinnati.

​

She has known, her husband since her senior year of high school and they have 3 wonderful kids and 7 amazing grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and going to their grandkids sporting events and spending time with them.

​

Pam worked for Kids First for 21 years and that is where she met Ronnie in 2002.  "When I was getting ready to retire from Kids First Ronnie asked me if I would like to work with him at RG Sports Academy. I jumped at the opportunity, and we have been great working partners since."
